Tetra Corporation, Digital Media Kit:
What Should I Feed My Fish?

Logo: A large and hi-resolution image of the Tetra corporation logo or trademark. It will be the first thing anyone sees in the media kit, making sure everyone knows which corporation this is.

News Release: The main document media professionals will use to write a story. Must be clear, concise, and contain answers to the five W’s (who, what, when, where, why, and how). Must be factual and easy to read. Company logo, contact info, and PR representative info should all be included.

Fact Sheet: This document is a bulleted list of facts about the company and its new fish-feeding pyramid. All facts must be clear, concise, and relevant to the reader. These facts help journalists quickly learn basic, important facts about the Tetra Corporation.

Background: This would be a brief history of the Tetra Corporation, what mission of the company is, and how it came to develop the new fish-feeding pyramid. The history needs to be short and easy to understand. It can help bring understanding to the goals of the company and explain importance of the new feeding concept.

Photos: The photo portion of the media kit should contain hi-resolution color photos of the new food pyramid, graphics of the new concept, and before & after photos of fish benefitting from the new system. Each photo should have a concise caption. It should also have a photo of the employees at Tetra Corporation who developed the new system. Providing these visuals will give a better representation of the new product, how it works, and who created it.

FAQ: A short portion of the media kit that can answer frequently sought questions for the company and/or for the concept. This will provide understanding for what a majority of people may be wondering about Tetra and the fish-feeding system. More intensive questions can be answered via press conference or with journalists. It may also be a starting point for stories to be written about.


Logo & Contact Info: Another image of the corporation’s logo, as well as prominently displayed contact info for the company and the PR representatives. This is the last thing the reader will see, and will remind them of company and who to contact for their story.

    I like that you mentioned including a logo. It's a simple choice and like you said, it would make the media kit recognizable right away to those who view it.

      Thank you for the comment. I wasn't sure if including the brand logo at the beginning and end of the kit would be a bit too narcissistic for the company but then I figured one testament of success is knowing a logo without having the company name spelled out. I thought it might be a strong way to stay in people's minds.

      I thought including photos was a very important addition. Some people better absorb information in a visual way so including graphics of the pyramid, the concept, and its benefits seemed a very impactful way to convey the company's message.

  3. Troy, overall awesome job! You included all of the essential elements! I agree with Lindsay and Jenna! Putting an emphasis on the logo and photos are very important! I like how you included a FAQ section as well! It definitely could give the media different story angles!

      I thought using the logo as bookends to the kit would not only hammer home the company image but it would also be esthetically pleasing; there would be a distinct beginning, and end.

      I think I may have gone a little overkill on what I included in the kit. I sort of went from the premise that the company had a large budget to put it together so why not make it an esthetically pleasing document.
